Beginner Blues
Here are the notes for the Blues. In this song we use third finger on the G string, open G, and open D!
G G | G G | G G | G G
3 3 | 3 3 | G G | G G
D D | 3 3 | G G | G G
You can also do this same song using any of your other open strings (for D and A, you would play D wherever you see G, A wherever you see D, and use third finger on the D string. For A and E, you would play A wherever you see G, E wherever you see D, and third finger on the A string).
The most important part of this song is the rhythm! Listen for the spaces in between the notes. Do you hear how the second note is longer than the first note? Practice playing along with the video and focusing on lining your plucking up exactly with what you hear.
